RE: Marshall 'AUTOMATIC' propane reg. issue

The regulator will only switch automatically if the tank its drawing from runs empty. You should be able to switch the lever to either tank and draw propane if that tank is not empty. That being said I had one get sticky on me and it did just what you are saying, it was replaced under warranty. I think it was about a year old when it failed. I was told they had replaced them for this problem before. The replacement never gave me any problems. PS. When mine would get stuck I could gave it a rap on the regulator body and it would pop and switch. I did this a couple of times before it got replaced, However I am not saying this is a safe way for you to check yours..;)

RE: DAVE

Glad to here your unlost. I had the WW battery box fuse melt down when we had our WW. It seems a 40 amp fuse in a 30 amp inline holder was standard equipment. I also went to a 40 amp circuit breaker.

RE: Bad Walmart Campers II

WOW! Is it ok to overnight at Camping World because they have a larger RV section in the store? or maybe because the word "camping" is on the sign?...:h Wouldn't it be unacceptable to park your car at Camping World if you were just shopping there?...:?

RE: Weekend Warrior Back in Business

It does seem strange, a little while back you would get a blank page, then the home page was back but none of the links worked, Now there is a still page that I don't remember seeing before? Someone is probably just keeping the site active just in case.

RE: 5th Wheel hitch and TV questions

Related to this subject, I have a 2008 GMC with the tow package and wiring to the rear bumber for the pull trailer. I plan on someday buying a 5th wheel and if I wanted to keep the trailer plug in the rear bumper can you just splice into the existing lines and bring them up through the left rear of the cargo bed and install a plug there???? Does anyone have both trailer connectors???? Thanks for the info,You can get a harness to add a plug in your bed while keeping the bumper plug operational. I did mine this way and after mounting the plug receptacle in the bed I simply plugged it in to the factory harness. No cutting or spicing wires. Fifthwheel wiring harness

RE: Using a hoist to lift your hitch in/out

SNIP! Frank - came back to this one. IMO - still have "reservations" about hanging anything as heavy as a SG from the pin - - not because it would damage the trlr or pin box, but the top of the hitch wasn't intended for that. Be interesting to hear what PullRite says. SNIP! JC Taken from the Superglide Owners Manual FAQ's "Can I leave the hitch attached to my trailer and use the trailer jacks to lift the hitch out of the truck? Yes, you can use the trailer jacks to lift the hitch out of the truck. The hitch should not however be left hanging from the king pin. Once you have the hitch lifted out of the truck you should have a stand available to lower the hitch onto for storage." I would think the only reason they do not approve storage on the pin is safety, I do it sometimes but always lock the release handle before removal and only unlock after reinstall

When the dealer says "No free starter kit for you" then you can say you got a good deal!

RE: OHV problems in Randsburg?

It's just a very few people that screw it up for the rest of us! Join C.O.R.V.A and get involved.(residents' concerns) Or just don't go there it will really be a Ghost Town like Smitt tunnel. it seems to me tha Corva is only interested in the challenges that face mainly the so cal crowd...especially sand riders @ the ISDRA i havent seen them involved in the fight of Oceano Dunes, or the attempt by the CBD to get the fringed toe lizard listed as an endangered species @ dumont. i could be wrong here too....but i think the hardest fight we have is oceano dunes....15,000 acres down to 1500 acres... 20k peeps on a busy weekend...6000sq ft per person= not good and CORVA is nowhere to be seen Will then maybe the The BlueRibbon Coalition is for you? Link SNIP!Or The Friends of Oceano Dunes, (there's a link to FoOD and others on the CORVA website under the "Ride Places" Tab :W) I think it's a shame that these and other organizations do not have more support. people will spend thousands on toys, gear and access fees but many will not drop $30 to join a group to help support the sport. It may not be enough to join one group, you may have to tailor your donations to support YOUR type of ride areas. Oh yeah, On subject, we have never been to Randsburg but I hope when we get the chance we can RIDE there.

RE: tail gate theft

"BUY a FORD, they come standard with lacking tailgate and my friends use to make fun of me for having it. NOT anymore..:) randy" If your ford came lacking a tailgate I can see why your not worried about losing it...:B I put a hose clamp on mine as posted by ata3001. It might slow them down? I have heard a replacement gate is around $800 and without the hose clamp I can have mine off in about 10 seconds. PS. Wouldn't the "safer" neighborhoods be where you would find the best like new tailgates?...:W

RE: WW gas cap

What concerned me the most is that the tank was only half full ( or half empty for you pessimists :)) and it wasn't that hot of a day. After a 1hr drive I pulled into the gas station and got my gasoline shower. Can't wait to see what happens on a hotter day!If you had gas burp out with a half tank, it sounds like your vent line that connects the tank to the top of the fill inlet is pinched or folded. I hear this was pretty common. you may have to remove the inlet cover on the inside of your trailer to see the problem? the fill hose on these tanks enters near the bottom of the tank so without a clear vent line you will wear some gas at almost any fuel level.

RE: WW gas cap

You may have the right cap? I always had to pump out at least a gallon from the fuel station on my WW after filling it up or it would do the same thing. It would also leak out of the cap seal on a hot day when the tank was full from the gas expanding. I'm pretty sure my factory cap only vented inward?

RE: Had to laugh...me and a dozen others

There was a thread complaining about people who walk through campsites, I think some people should stay in theirs. If I got a new trailer and was trying to figure out how to maneuver it into a campsite, the last thing I would want is for some nosey camper to come and tell me your not going to fit and then proceed to tell me what's wrong with my setup before I even get settled (this is not help). Then to add insult, I get to watch him rally with others to laugh and be entertained. If he was having problems, I would have asked I could help guide him in and let him discover if he can fit or not. Who knows, He may have said, Wow I think I screwed up on this setup! Or, this guy broke down and I'm trying to help him with his trailer. Or, my truck is bad a$$, I could have got that bigger trailer! Who Knows?

RE: Tucson Dealer won't honor E-Bay Auction- Advice

I'm glad they went through with the deal, but do you really think they would have done this if there wasn't so much attention brought to them? I wonder how many others got insulted and hung up on prior to Pat pushing the issue? If they were truly doing the "right thing" all three of the owners would have been there to apologize to pat and wish him well. IMO

RE: Buying a 2007 Weekend Warrior 30FS

You can go here http://www.trailersettlement.com/sa.pdf and start looking at page 61. If the frame rails or Channels do not extend all the way to the front of the trailer box it will probably need to be beefed up as shown. I would look at the front of the trailer where the sides meet the front, if you see any sign of the caulking pulling away from the edging or the siding that's where the problems begin. It can be couple of years before it shows up though. I'm not sure but the problem may be worse on the aluminum sided trailers?
